We were running,
chasing the Sun 'cross
changing landscapes -
they all laughed at us,
but we kept running,
paddling, hang gliding,
chasing that Sun down.
The Old Man at the
Sea never gave up -
but lost
depending on
what you consider
losing -
we're better than that,
won't let it out our
sights ever, staying in
glory's sight, staying in
the bright light no matter
the terrain, traversing
whatever - we dare not go
back to the nothing,
the darkness, the empty
feelings lurking around
alleyway-like corners.
We'll chase
this Sun from
here on out,
forever-evermore.
We'll never again
not be important.
