a million smiles lighting up
this barren night sky that
we notice are all ours,
captured with goals undeterred,
with beauty unspoken and
passions yet roused.
these trails of assurance and
confidence exemplified
through our steps,
our walk gliding, floating
over every ounce
of pain that exists to
move into a newer
existence of coffee breath and
poetic expressions scribbled
on walls in
our bedroom,
in hearts, our hearts;
touching.
we say with finality that
we've arrived some place
safe, the whole world
our playground and
our limits are about
as real as
banshees wails -
we're going to
live forever
