There's new Bloc Party out. It's called
Intimacy. This is some good stuff here. I just listened to Silent Alarm, their first album and was like, cool. Got into it later. Same with A Weekend In The City, their second album. Both were good, but just had weird, incomplete feelings attached to it or it was just not totally filling the soundscape like it could.
This new one,
Bloc Party - Intimacy, is a whole new beast. I love it. A lot.
Hearing a lot of people not liking this new direction, but seriously, to me, they sound like they know what they want to do now.
Have a listen:
BikoZephyrusAresAccompanied with a very thought-provoking album cover, I smell a winner (joking about the cover):
Released online first, gonna be a full official studio release in October, with more tracks. Cool, sounds like a plan to me.
What you think of the new songs? Do you even know who these people are?

Writing is still coming along. I'm feeling a sense of freedom again with it and trying to have fun again. Photos again continue to inspire or just make me happy in general. As one dev says, Tis grand, love!
Devious Comments

I'm pretty much happy when artist take new turns and try new things out. When people say, I just want Silent Alarm! I think, Why don't you just listen to the album again?
Especially as an artist. There are some older works of mine my sister prefers and wants me to write in that style again and that's something I liked at the time, it worked well for me, but I don't want to go back to that. It would feel like I would be either taking the easy way out or cheating myself of continuing to better my craft.
